Cobra's ESD-9870 11-band radar detector alerts you to
the use of 5 radar, 4 laser, and 2 safety system bands.
It uses Voice Alert™ digital voice alerts to warn you
of the use of radar and laser monitoring so you can keep
your eyes on the road. The 8-point digital compass lets
you know where you're headed.
The user-friendly EasySet™ programming helps you
choose your preferred settings. Plus, the settings are
retained in memory, so you can switch vehicles without
having to readjust them. IntelliMute™ shuts down
service (except for emergency warnings) when it senses
low engine RPMs, eliminating false alerts at slow
speeds! The unit features 360° laser protection, a dim
mode switch, and automatic muting. Adjust between
highway mode and three levels of city mode to keep false
alerts at a minimum, wherever you're driving.
The ESD-9870 is completely invisible to VG-2 and
Spectre, and it informs you of the use of these
"radar detector detectors." You get warning of
approaching emergency vehicles equipped with "StrobeAlert"
systems (the strobe light system that automatically
changes the lights at intersections). The ESD 9870 also
alerts you to emergency vehicles and road hazards
equipped with the "Safety Alert" system, so
you have plenty of time to pull over or clear the
intersection.
