"Switchable Talkback"
You'd be surprised at how many times our service department gets asked what this is. It simply means that we put a on/off switch in the talkback circuit like the factory would have done if they'd been thinking of the consumer. This feature is really handy because a good deal of the radios with built in echo come from the factory set so that every time the echo is on, the talkback is also on. Having them both on at the same time is fine and dandy if the talkback doesn't squeal like a stuck pig, but you guessed it. The factory often designs the talkback circuit to be crude at best.
